Steven Sack, The Employee's Lawyer ® Scholarship Fund

Steven Sack, The Employee's Lawyer ®, is proud to announce his participation in a scholarship fund for law students. The scholarship will be granted to one remarkable law student in need who displays a unique understanding of employee advocacy. This student will receive a $750 scholarship through his or her law school by Steven Mitchell Sack. The winner will be announced at the end of the Fall 2013 Semester.

To apply for the scholarship, submit an article less than 500 words discussing at least two common employer violations employees may potentially face and the practical strategies for advising employees to overcome those issues.

The New York Employment Lawyer, Steven Mitchell Sack, has been enforcing workplace rights of employees, executives, and sales representatives for over 30 years. Steven is a dedicated advocate for the worker. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of SUNY at Stony Brook and Boston College Law School, Mr. Sack maintains a private law practice in New York City handling labor and employment matters. With his latest book, The Employee Rights Handbook, he has created a "first-aid kit" for employees, giving you the information to understand your job rights, and protect nad assert yourself to collect what is due.

In a recent major legal case, he obtained a favorable decision for waiters who were denied tips, thus making it harder for restaurants and caterers to keep gratuities intended for their wait staffs. The New York Court of Appeals case was Samiento v. World Yacht, Inc. 10 N.Y.3d 70 (2008).
