Attorney Steven Mitchell Sack, “The Employee’s Lawyer,” has been retained by the Eastern Outdoor Reps Association (EORA) and The National Shoe Travelers (NST) as General Counsel throughout the 2013 year.
As the son of an apparel representative, Mr. Sack knows the challenges and obstacles many independent representatives face in their industry. He saw his father’s struggles, which empowered him to become an advocate for sales representatives throughout the United States.
The Eastern Outdoor Reps Association (EORA) is a not-for-profit organization that provides services and amenities for sales representatives who work for the outdoor human-powered gear industry. Established in 1979, the EORA supports traveling sales representatives by promoting the outdoors through communication with consumers and retailers. EORA hosts eight trade shows annually and has over 460 working professional members.
The National Shoe Travelers (NST) is an association that betters the profession for traveling sales representatives who work in the footwear industry. NST presents its members with detailed information, much education and multiple opportunities to grow within their field while providing them with numerous advantages and benefits. In 2012, the NST donated $1.5 million to Two Ten Footwear Foundation, a charity in support of the footwear field, to ensure that the industry maintains what is needed to thrive.
“Having Steven Mitchell Sack as General Counsel for EORA is another step closer in providing our members with the best ability to service the industry they work and thrive in,” stated EORA Executive Director Debbie Motz. “EORA is ecstatic about having attorney Steven Mitchell Sack as the newest member of the EORA team.”
“The addition of Steven Mitchell Sack as General Counsel for NST is another step closer in enhancing the experience on the road for traveling reps,” stated Meaghan M. Lawson, marketing director of NST.
“I am honored to have been retained by both EORA and NST,” stated Mr. Sack. “With the hard work and dedication I will provide to both of these organizations, I will help ensure that these sales representatives who invested their time establishing territories and building up client lists receive the compensation and respect they deserve.”
Mr. Sack has focused on employment matters for sales representatives for more than 30 years. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of SUNY at Stony Brook University and Boston College Law School and has decades of experience working with outdoor products, apparel and footwear industries. Mr. Sack also announced that he will be a guest speaker at NST’s General Member Meeting at the FN Platform event in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 20.
